Even cars in Australia have BALLS: A road trip to CANBERRA!

I have been living in Sydney for almost a year now, I have to admit that I’m loving it. The lifestyle itself, small trendy bars, hot aussie men, cocktails, healthy food and my job. My partner’s friend invited us to visit Canberra on the weekend. So I packed my HUGE Mulberry bayswater bag and hit the road. Australians have this tradition that when you go on a road trip you have to stop at Maccas. It’s mandatory…(personally I prefer Hungry Jacks :P) anyway we were on our way to Canberra, when we saw this van with balls, literally HUGE balls dangling from the back of the truck. We couldn’t stop laughing…it was so hilarious!!! Welcome to Australia mate! Where even the cars have balls!!

Hello Beautiful People, as I’ve said before, it’s really hard for me to find time to update my blog because of work, party, my partner  and personal stuff but in spite of that you still continue to support and read my blog! Thank You Gorgeous People! Well as you all know, I moved to the city with my partner and we decided to throw a small housewarming with family and close friends! As usual, we had too much champagne and shots! (What’s new, right?) Me and my partner cooked pretty much everything from scratch and everything turned out ok thank god! One of my friends booked us to cook for his party…I said that’s cool – but not for free!! U gotta pay! I owe this to my Grandma – she taught me that every time you cook a meal u have to cook with your heart and always make sure that there’s enough for the whole country! LOL! Well, it’s in our blood to cook too much! We love food and we love to share!

Thank God, I dont have to worry about going home when I’m drunk because I can just call a taxi! When I was living in Tokyo, I thought it was  the most expensive city  BUT living in Australia is way more expensive! ridiculously expensive but TOTALLY WORTH IT! The taste of Pina Colada @ RAMBUTAN Lounge (Darlinghurst): Sydney, I love You mate!

First of all, I wanna apologise to my readers that I have not been updating my blog for these past few weeks! Im still trying to get used to my SYDNEY Lifestyle! I can say that Sydney is pretty much the combination of TOKYO & MANILA for me! Tokyo because Fashion, Food, Bars, Architecture, Art, Night Life, Shopping Center, Cocktails etc. and Manila simply because Australian People are the same as Pinoy (Filipino) people! They are warm, family-oriented, laid back and drunk all the time (Im talking about Aussie Bogans)! I love Australia! Sydney is my 3rd home now! You know that  I’m a simple person right?! all I wanted is simple life! BWAHAHA! that’s completely bullshit! No im not simple! NOT AT ALL! Im not that boring! f*ck simple when you can be a little extravagant! I always wanted to live in a nice apartment in the city with a gorgeous man, get a fabulous job that I want (a job that I can be creative and happy), build my own business/empire, cocktails with friends, attend amazing fashion events/cool parties and visit my family  overseas! Well, I’ve got exciting news to share to you! Well I got a job in a high-fashion company in the city and me and my gorgeous partner found  a beautiful apartment in the city! Its gonna be fun! Interior designing, new set of fashion workmates, furniture hunting and Of course! house parties! Its funny because i’m already living my dreams! ALMOST! And whats next?! …

To buy a new cool camera (Sorry for the quality of my photos! I used my phone and I was ridiculously smashed!) and DREAM BIGGER!

The fashionable ambience of STITCH Bar at York St, Sydney: It’s like dinner in the Project Runway work room!

Before anything else, I wanna say a Big Thank You to all my readers! It s been 8 months since I started this blog of mine. Ever since I moved to Sydney last month, I’m enjoying it more and more and MORE! The lifestyle, beautiful people (as in GORGEOUS people! in and out!) healthy food, BEACH and Sydney fashion! Anyways, We got invited to this casual dinner by my partner’s university friends at this hidden cool bar/restaurant STITCH Bar. I think it was a clothing factory before because of the design of the place, the fabrics and sewing machine at the front door and the different clothes patterns glued in the walls! Interesting place with smart people (I’m beginning to think smart people are interesting! LOL!).

The Timeless Beauty of the Strand Arcade 1891: The House of Australian Fashion!

There is something about this Victorian Building that captures the essence of timeless beauty. I was with my mother-in-law TO BE (Hopefully!), when she took me to this magnificent shopping center that can be found in the Sydney CBD (Central Business District). She told me that this building had been there since she was a kid, her mother used to take her there for shopping. I can tell that it’s an oldie but a GOODIE. It has impressive cedar staircases, stained glass windows and classic cabin elevators. What really excites me are the different Australian designers and their masterpieces in their beautiful boutiques.

It’s good to know that you can still find an old building that remains in its original form more than a century after being built. In my generation, everything changes in a blink of an eye: people, buildings, trends, food and so on… especially in the city. Hope this building will still be standing for my kids.

Tokyo is my city but Sydney is my new home: A fresh saga of my typical life!

Many years living in Tokyo with my crazy family, delicious food, big skyscrapers, endless parties, fashion shows, fabulous friends and with my prince charming! eeeeewww! I mean with my partner was fun. I was satisfied with that but we decided to move to Sydney! WHY? I don’t know! After living in Sydney for a couple of weeks, everything is completely different! No rush hours and no more tiny food! Now you know why! I’m pretty sure that there are more other reasons why other people find it hard to live in Tokyo! Living in Australia made me realized that my life is just getting started…

The same feeling I felt exactly 6 years ago, when I moved to Tokyo from the Philippines. EXCITEMENT rushing through my blood for a new adventure, new people and the metropolis… It’s like in fashion, a new trend for the new season. But it’s not that easy to move to a new city – especially without your family and friends. Believe me it’s hard! I’m not an island or a loner, I can’t live without my family and friends. Lucky I didn’t move to Sydney alone. I’ve got my partner and his amazing family. They are part of my family now and I can always see my own family and friends through skype and facebook.

Mona Vale Beach

I had a good chat with my partner this afternoon, he asked me, “Do you know why we have a KANGAROO and an EMU on the Australian Coat of Arms?” I answered, “Because they’re your national animals” and then he replied ” Yeah, but it’s also because they can’t walk backwards, the idea being that Australians will always move forward – not backward!” Learning trivia makes me smile! Maybe that’s the reason why I’m destined to live in Australia – to learn how to live and MOVE FORWARD.
