Thank God I went today! I was having second thoughts because I didn’t wanna wake up early and go out into the freezing cold! But I thought, just do it! Don’t be lazy! When I got there I was No.9! At least I made it to the semi-finals! lol! It was fun though because I met a lot of good people in the queue!
I really felt jealous because the first person got the chance to choose from the Marc jacobs Store! Whatever they wanted! If I only knew! I would have gotten there days before the event! I was looking forward to meeting the epic Brian Bowen Smith but he wasn’t there. Regardless, it was totally worth waiting for because I had the chance to talk with Robert Duffy, Micah Bunn, Reese Pozgay and B. Thom Stevenson.

3 NYE parties in one night for 2011: Finale “OPERA DINING LOUNGE” / McDonald’s!
After Astrance, our last party was at OPERA – which is also in Roppongi (Izumi Garden). They based the decor on the name – the inside is like the Phantom of the Opera meets clubbing – classic chandeliers, candles, red brocade curtains and a huge mirror. Everyone was a bit tired so we needed to pump it up! What else can you do? Except for…SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS! After Jagger Bombs, Patron and Tequila…it was like a shot of adrenaline! We got nasty on the dance floor! Definitely an amazing party to end the night!
I want NYE every weekend!!
And of course! Where else do you end up when you’re hammered and hungry…

After losing 10 kilos that night, I had to put it all back on again! Cheers!

3 NYE parties in one night for 2011: 2.) ASTRANCE Auberge de France Japon!
After the crowded Vanity lounge, it took us an hour to get to Astrance! It was a hidden place in Roponggi and some of the cab drivers were drunk as us (just kidding). Some taxi drivers are sneaky, they take you round and round the city and charge you ridiculous fares – but they didn’t fool us! I almost had a fight with them but I stopped myself because it was New Year‘s and I didn’t wanna spoil the night. Astrance was cozy and classy with a touch of french style.
Amazing house music and it wasn’t super crowded! It was good for relaxing a taking a break before the next round of filthy dancing! Thanks to the hot and cool owner of Astrance, Daiki Endo! A very funny guy! But I still didn’t wanna end my night! I just cant get enough! New Year’s is once a year and we are who we are! Fuckin Party Animals! That’s how we roll! Next destination coming up! stay tuned!

3 NYE parties in one night for 2011: 1.) GLITZ & GLAMOUR / VANITY LOUNGE TOKYO
After the dinner party with my family, we were drunk! We headed out to Roppongi or should I say Tokyo Sin City for the NYE party! The moment we got there (around 11 pm) I was surprised by the crowd! Heaps of people were out in the cold ready to party – I thought…tonight’s gonna be a good night! So we went to Vanity Lounge Tokyo! There was a long queue! I was shocked by the people who waited there for 2+ hours just to get inside! Lucky us – we didn’t have to wait outside and freeze our balls off! VIP baby! When we got inside, they started the countdown! That was the first time I celebrated my countdown in the entrance! But no complaints! I got my partner, my brother and friends! So it was all good! Nasty DJs played a great set and there were lots of beautiful people getting filthy on the dance floor!

What can I say? My crazy family loves to eat heaps of food and drink like fish on New Year’s! Isn’t it the essence of New Years? Spending time with your family and friends, eating mountains of food and getting wasted! I couldn’t imagine my New Years without my family, friends, food and drinks! I’ve eaten at amazing restaurants in Tokyo, but it’s different compared to a home-cooked meal. It’s amazing! There’s no place like home! But my New Year’s Eve didn’t end just like that! We went to some of the coolest parties. It was Epic! Stay tuned!
